Afro
Dog · Terrier Mix · Male · 8 +/- Years
URGENT NEED: Foster or Adopter This cute guy is a goofy, silly boy that has lived outdoors his entire life. Angels to the Animals has been helping to care for him over the past 6-7 years, and we estimate his age to be around 8 years old. He is a big boy, weighing around 90 lbs. and is pure love. Afro just wants to be a lap dog! He loves to chase a ball, but isn't so good about bringing it back, but will roll over on it. His owner allowed one of our volunteers to bring him home a couple of nights when we had some pretty severe weather, and he never had an accident in the house. When we have taken him out, he pretty much ignores other dogs, so we can't say for sure how he would do with another one, but would suggest perhaps a low key female as a companion. He does chase cats, so he shouldn't be around them. Due to his size, we suggest no children under teen years. Afro's family has moved into to an apartment, so volunteers and neighbors are now caring for him. He needs a foster immediately. Afro is neutered and up to date on all vaccines and monthly preventatives. We plan to have him bathed and cleaned up before he goes to his new home so he is sparkling and shiny!
Batman

URGENT NEED: Foster or Adopter Batman was rescued from a life on a chain but still lives outdoors. He's a goofy, older guy with lots of love and life left and is good with other dogs and children. Fully house-trained, he’s looking for an indoor foster or an adopter who doesn't have the feline kind. He'll make you giggle with his wiggles.
Barnabas

URGENT NEED: Foster or Adopter Meet Barnabus, a handsome young Pit Bull Terrier with a striking brown and white coat. He's a playful boy who likes to cuddle with his humans and is always ready to accompany you on an outdoor adventure. He is looking for a dedicated forever home where he can truly blossom, share his endless loyalty, and become the cherished family member he was always meant to be. Barnabus is currently being boarded. He needs a foster or adopter quickly.
Maverick

URGENT NEED: Foster or Adopter Maverick makes the perfect companion for indoor cuddles and outdoor adventures! He has had training and walks and jogs well on a leash – his trainer said he was one of the easiest dogs to work with. Maverick is fully house and crated-trained. So please, give this deserving boy a chance by either fostering or adopting him. He needs a new foster by January.

URGENT NEED: Foster or Adopter Zula is affectionate, athletic, loyal, gentle, quiet and very smart, loves to bask in the sun, play fetch and tug of war, and is great with older children. If you've ever had a Boxer, then you know the joy and laugher they bring. Zula is all that and more! She is also crate-trained and sleeps all night long. Zula needs an active person or family who will play with her and take her for nice walks. She's everything a loyal companion should be. She needs a new foster as soon as possible.

She survived a life in a local shelter, faced euthanasia, endured heartworm treatment – and triumphed! ‘Carma’ is as sweet as they come – not stingy with cuddles or kisses. New to our rescue but I can't imagine he will last very long! He checks every box but one! He is not yet neutered. But we are getting him scheduled! ✅ 8 mo old, 45.lbs ✅ Beautiful brindle markings ✅ UTD on vaccines ✅ House-broken ✅ Has not been destructive (but does like shoes!) ✅ Does well on leash ✅ Get's alone beautifully with other dogs ✅ Cats unknown ✅ Based on what we can see, he should get along with kids but he is still a puppy so probably older dog-savvy children best Buddy is a sure winner!

Say howdy to Garth!. He 's lookin' for a place to call home. Ain't Garth the cutest pup you've ever seen? He's also a pretty awesome cuddler. Garth is plum sweeter than your grandma's tea, and he's a real smart whipper-snapper, too! Garth loves playing outside, chasin' his sister 'round the yard, and playin' with his toys. He's 100% crate-trained, knows the sit command, and is workin' on other commands like lay down and stay put. Garth gets along with large dogs and children too. He's still a puppy, so he's pretty flexible, and is just happy to be able play, eat supper and treats, and have safe and cozy place to lay his precious little head when the day is done.
Rascal

Welcome Rascal to the Angels crew! Rascal just went from the streets to treats when we came to his rescue. He is currently getting settled in with his new foster. We are just now getting to know him, but we couldn't wait another day to start sharing information about him. Rascal is about 13 lbs. and is fully vaccinated. More to come on this adorable boy!
George

Welcome George to the Angels crew! He came to us in June of this year a little fearful, but has been settling in with her foster. Unfortunately, George is heartworm positive, so we are working to get him schedule for treatment. His foster says he is a sweet little guy. We are still learning about him, so we will provide more details when possible. More to come!
