Foster Needed

Xotol

6 months +/-

Dog • Pit Bull Terrier • Female

We don't know a lot about Xotol yet, because we took her in from somebody who was keeping her tied up, was going to be moving, and planned to leave her behind. We have her in boarding right now. She is still a puppy, so she is high energy and needs training. Once she has a foster or adopter, we will enroll her into training. She will also be spayed and microchipped at that time. She's a beautiful dog with gorgeous markings, and is ready for a forever home. Please complete an application at www.angelstotheanimals.org.

Grace

3-8 Years

Dog • Jack Russell Terrier & Chihuahua mix • Female

Meet Grace -- a tiny but mighty Jack Russell Terrier-Chihuahua mix. After spending her days living outdoors with a backyard breeder, she is finally discovering the perks of the pampered life. Grace has developed a deep appreciation for the simple wonders of a home—like the magic of a soft blanket or the quiet comfort of a steady hand. She carries the spirited intelligence of a Jack Russell softened by the devoted, "velcro" heart of a Chihuahua, making her the ultimate companion for someone who loves both adventure and afternoon naps. Watching her experience "firsts"—her first real toy, her first cozy bed, and her first safe yard—is a beautiful reminder of her resilient spirit. This little survivor is more than ready to trade the elements for a lifetime of chin scratches and a forever family to call her own!

From Our Adoptive Families

The moment they come home, everything changes. Here's what our families say.

The Gulianello Family

Axel is the perfect fit — sweet, smart, playful. Our kids, and even our youngest Frenchie, are absolutely over the moon! We're grateful to Angels for trusting us with Axel.

Shiloh K.

Waffles started out as a temporary foster while her regular foster was away on a long trip. But as soon as she arrived, she and our youngest pup became instant best friends—truly thick as thieves. Within just a few days, we knew she wasn't going anywhere. She's such an easy dog: goofy, sweet, and someone who finds joy in absolutely everything.

Wendy P.

The moment we met Millie, we knew instantly she would be part of our family. She is such a joy – incredibly gentle and loving, especially with my daughter. They play chasing games and my daughter even 'rides' her like a pony. We feel so grateful to have her – she truly is an angel.

Mollie & Zach B.

We can't say enough good things about this rescue group. They rescued our sweet girl May, who has become the princess of our family. She's brought so much life and energy into our home—especially for her senior brother, who now acts like a puppy again. We are beyond thankful.

Common Questions About Rescue Adoption

Everything you want to know before you apply.

How long does the adoption process take?expand_more

Most adoptions are completed within one to two weeks, from application to bringing your dog home. Processing time depends on application review, the home visit, scheduling a meet-and-greet, and completing the adoption agreement. We move as quickly as possible to ensure that every match is right.

Can I adopt if I rent my home?expand_more

Yes! Many of our adopters rent. You'll need to confirm that your lease permits pets, and we may ask for written landlord approval. If you need help communicating with your landlord, we can provide documentation about AttA and the adoption process.

Do your dogs get along with other pets and children?expand_more

Every dog in our program has been evaluated for temperament, and their foster family knows them well. We carefully document how each dog interacts with other animals, kids, and new environments — and we use that information to make thoughtful matches.

What's included in the adoption fee?expand_more

The $350 adoption fee for dogs covers spay or neuter surgery, full vaccination series, microchipping, a health examination by a licensed veterinarian, and any treatments administered during their time in our care. It's genuinely excellent value for everything included.

What happens if the adoption doesn't work out?expand_more

We ask that you return the dog to AttA rather than rehome them yourself. We have a return policy in place for exactly these situations — life happens, and we never want a dog to end up in an uncertain situation. We'll work with you to find a solution.

Can I meet a dog before I apply?expand_more

Absolutely. Usually we prefer a application, first, but we can make special case exceptions, if required. We want you to feel confident and excited — not pressured. Check our events page for upcoming opportunities.

Ready to find your forever friend?

Apply to adopt today — your perfect match is waiting.
