You Are the Mission

We have no paid staff. Every dollar donated goes directly to animal care — because every task, from transport to feeding to paperwork, is handled by volunteers like you.

Real, Tangible Impact

A few hours of your time means a dog gets transported to safety, a litter gets fed, or an event runs smoothly. Your presence directly determines how many animals we can help.

Common Questions

Everything you want to know before you apply.

Do I need experience with animals to volunteer?expand_more

No prior animal experience is required for most roles. We provide orientation and on-the-job guidance. If you're interested in fostering neonatal animals or helping with medical care, we'll walk you through everything before your first placement.

How much time do I need to commit?expand_more

There's no minimum time commitment. Some volunteers give 2 hours a month; others give 20. We work with your schedule. When you apply, just let us know what's realistic for you and we'll find roles that fit.

Do I need a car to volunteer?expand_more

It depends on the role. Animal transport and donation pickup obviously require a vehicle, but many other roles — events, feeding, administrative support — do not. Let us know your situation and we'll match you accordingly.

Can I volunteer if I already have pets at home?expand_more

Absolutely. Many of our volunteers and fosters have resident pets. For foster roles, we'll work with you to ensure compatibility between your animals and any foster animal we place with you.

Is there an age requirement to volunteer?expand_more

Volunteers must be at least 18 years old. Younger volunteers may participate in certain supervised activities when accompanied by a parent or guardian — reach out to ask about family volunteer opportunities.
