The journey of a nonprofit animal rescue like Angels to the Animals
is a tapestry woven with inspiring stories and significant milestones.
Behind every initiative lies a dedicated team working tirelessly to uplift the community and create lasting change for dogs and cats that reflect Angels' commitment to making a difference. Our team of awesome volunteers embodies this spirit, dedicating their time and energy to
providing a brighter future for animals in need.
Angels to the Animals is a 100% volunteer-only organization.
Are you 16 years of age or older?
Do you have a scout, church, school or other kind of group who would like a project?
Got a couple of extra hands itching to work with those who have paws?
We could certainly use your hands and your heart.
We promise, the paws will most certainly appreciate any extra hands in their time of need.
Here’s just some of the ways those extra hands can help:
- Adoption and fundraising events
- Pet food drives
- Public awareness and volunteer recruitment
- Event planning
- Short or long-term foster home (we can not rescue if we have no foster homes)
- Post events across all media platforms
- Create on-line posts for adoptable cats and dogs
- Regular onsite feeding, wellbeing checks and other care
- Deliver houses and straw to dogs and cats in need
- Transport dogs or cats to/from vet appointments or foster homes
- Spay/neuter transports to clinics
- Meet and greet dogs and cats with prospective fosterers or adopters
- Pickup donated food and supply items
- Devote time with or walk dogs as appropriate
- And more! Let us know your area where you'd like to help

DownloadLooking back at 2022, our first full year, we RESCUED and SAVED fifty-three dogs, including four new mamas with their litters!” We found “Mama Mia” the day before she delivered eight pups, and another who had just delivered that morning.
The majority of dogs we helped were tied to trees, living their lives on heavy chains. Neglected, lonely, hungry, trying to stay warm in the cold of winter or cool in the summer heat with limited or no shelter, we loved them back to health with food, water, housing, toys, and lots of love. Many went on to find wonderful homes with caring families.
Without help from volunteers, vets and medical staff; donations of food, supplies and funding; fosters and, of course, adopters, none of this would have happened. And very special thanks to Happy Tails Rescue, Inc. and Passion 4 Paws-VT, both of whom were instrumental in finding homes for many.
Happy lives, sweet babies — we love every single one of you!
Enjoy the photos of these rescued dogs in their new lives.
